Kendall - 18 months

Kendall is the daughter of our good friends, Rick and Tara, who live in Bismarck. She is four months older then our youngest, Ava, and it's been fun watching them grow. As they get older, the four months difference doesn't seem like that big of a gap... unless you watch Kendall run! Kendall is definitely a mover and a groover! Because she wasn't interested in sitting at all, I did the best I could to just keep up with her. It was great to see her... and Mom and Dad, too!

Here, by popular demand... The Sustad Photography Blog!

Well, Sustad Photography has decided to get with the times and join the blogging world. Our clients often asked if we had a blog, and up until now, the answer was always, "No, not yet..." Finally, we don't have to say "no" anymore! After spending hours uploading some recent photo shoots, I sure wished that we had created a blog sooner. Oh well, you live and learn. Now, if I can just keep up with our photo sessions, life will be great! I apologize to our clients who don't have a blog post. I don't have enough hours to go back through all of our past sessions. However, if you send me a special request to have your session posted on here, I would be happy to add it!

Fredrickson Family

Somethings are just meant to be! I had been looking for a daycare for Jack in Lancaster and the same day that I was told about Wendy's daycare, she contacted me to take her family pictures. So, we became each others' customers at the same time! We had fun taking pictures of her girls, and a few with their cousins, too! The weather was great, the lighting was great, and although the mosquitoes were awful, it was a great night for taking pictures. Courtney, the oldest, had many faces and personalities to share with the camera and Peyton was full of energy playing in her sweet polka-dot dress!

Mike & Rumi

Mike, Nate's brother, spent two years serving with the Marines in Okinawa, Japan. While he came back with some souvenirs, the best thing that he left Japan with was his amazing fiance, Rumiko, or Rumi for short. They came to visit us in July. It was our first time meeting Rumi and loved every minute of getting to know the great person that she is. Even though I had to nearly twist Mike's arm to get some engagement shots of them, we finally got it done the day before they left. We went out to my parents farm and had our quickest engagement session to date. Because of the time constraints and vicious swarms of mosquitoes, we nearly ran from spot to spot taking some shots. It was fun photographing these two because they are so very cute together! I had to sneak in some pictures of when they were at the airport, about to leave for California.
