Jade - Senior Session Part II

My cousin Jade wanted both a summer and a fall session for her senior photos. Our first session took place on a very hot summer day, and this onelanded on a chilly fall day. While our first session turned out really great, this one was my favorite just because of the location. Nate and I had been wanting to shoot in a junk yard for a very long time, and this day, I got my wish! I felt like a kid at Christmas, but time constraints made it so we could only get in a few shots there. Oh well, I'm sure we'll get our chance again! Jade got a kick out of how excited I was, and I got a kick out of one of my favorite photos of her where she is laughing. It may not be the picture she'd put on her announcements, but it's one that definitely shows the fun-loving girl she is!

Noah Turns 2!

We've watched this little man grow since he was just a baby. He has grown up going to daycare with our kids and I'll always remember his big smile greeting me each time I picked up the kids. He showed us that same big smile at his two-year photo session! He enthusiastically showed us his toys, books, and his own "Noah" chair. After a few shots inside, Noah took us outside for his first winter experience of the year!
A lot changes from the ages of one and two, and Noah was ready to really play in the snow for the first time and we were thrilled to catch that new experience!

Caden and Colton

This was our second session of the day and, thankfully, the temperature warmed up a bit. Caden and Colton were ready to show us around their huge country yard. With the unusually green grass for fall, woods, long prairie grass, and old out buildings, we had plenty of places to capture good shots. It also helped that the boys were very willing to hold still for a moment from time to time and give the camera a big smile! Even though there was a little competition for camera time here and there, it was obvious that these boys sure love each other!

Shelby, Carter, Landon, & Aubree

As Nate and I pulled in to the family's yard for this photo session, we became very excited! The family had all sorts of items that many photographers love, including old classic cars, an antique trike, old tractors, and more. Then, we saw the adorable kids! There was very little wind and a cloudy sky, the only thing missing was warmth! It was an extremely cold day compared to what we had been having for weather. However, despite the chill, the kids did a great job. Mom and Dad even brought them in for a mid-session break to have hot chocolate and cookies. Then, it was back to work!

Riley and Izzy

Riley and Izzy, brother and sister, were quite the models! They were very laid back and smiled and posed on "command". On top of the that, the cloudy day gave us perfect lighting and the wind was almost non-existent. Put all those things together, and you end up with a lot of great pictures! While I'm sure Riley and Izzy may have their moments like most siblings, they seemed to get along great and had no problem cozying up together for pictures!
