BreAnne and Brandon said "I do" this past weekend and we had the pleasure of being there for their big day! We also took their engagement pictures! The threat of rain in the forecast didn't amount to anything. We keep lucking out! A big red barn offered a great pop of color and also some shade as the clouds began to break up and the sun beat down on everyone. We feel really fortunate to be able to be a part of such happy moments in people's lives and always honored to be asked. While this is Sustad Photography's second wedding of the summer, it's officially my first. Our youngest son was just two weeks old during Steph and Dan's wedding and they were kind enough to let him join in on the day so that I could be there to take pictures. Of course, we had a sitter watch him and since he slept the whole day, no one really knew he was around... I had taken their engagement pictures last October, and like always, it seemed that their wedding day arrived so fast. The morning downpours had us a little worried, but it cleared up just in time for pictures. We really lucked out! This was another one of those fun wedding parties that was a blast to photograph.Congrats, Steph and Dan!
These two newlyweds had just had their engagement pictures taken by us this past winter on a very cold day, so their June wedding was a nice change in weather! Holly and John's wedding was the first wedding that I wasn't able to attend because I had just had Eli one week before. Because I couldn't be there, Nate had the help of two lovely assistants. It's a little tougher to write a blog about a wedding that I didn't attend, but Nate made one thing very clear - it was a really fun wedding party! He said that they joked around quite a bit, which makes our day even more fun! Nate and his crew captured many special memories of their very special day.
We are proud to introduce the newest addition to our family, Eli Nathan! He was born June 2nd and was just 5 days old for his first "official" photo session. He had been really struggling with acid reflux, so we waited a little while until he was content enough. Thankfully, we've figured out a few tricks to help ease the discomfort he was having and he was nice and relaxed for his big photo debut. A nice meal and a little heater were just the things Eli needed to help him sleep through all the different poses we had him in. We feel very blessed to have a healthy little baby and a beautiful family of five!
